Ant and Dec have always been managed by Geoff - the hairy leader
from Byker Grove, who is on 98% of their royalties.
The only disagreement they've ever had was when Geoff wanted to
change their name from PJ and Duncan to Ant and Dec. They were worried that the name
change would confuse the public, whereas he thought that since they
have always been 'Ant and Dec' in Europe, the name change would simply save
money on packaging.
Geoff also manages Donna Air (Angel), but lost Spuggie and Noddy
in a game of cards with Mr Bronson (Michael Sheard) off Grange Hill.

For their first single, 'Tonight I'm Free', not only did they use
their Byker Grove names, Ant also had to pretend to be blind since
the character PJ had gone blind in the episode warning of the
dangers of masturbation at the end of series 7.

Lars Ulrich from Metallica based his beard on Geoffs, who in turn
based his on the cowardly lion from the Wizard of Oz.

90% of the kids who watched the Byker Grove's gay kiss between
PJ and Duncan without blinking
during it grew up to be homosexual, just as the Daily Mail had
warned following
it's broadcast.

Ant is worried that his long forehead means that alongside Richard E
Grant, an occordian, Alistair McGowan, and Herman Munster, Alistair
McGowan will be able to do an impression of him
and make it look as well as sound right without it appearing like
an elongated version.
However, Alistair can't do Newcastle.

'U Crazy Cats' by PJ and Duncan AKA got played by Westwood on his
Radio 1 rap show after
a copy was accidentally pressed with this picture on the cover.

As soon as he realised who'd made it, Westwood didn't like it any more, but not
before he'd given a copy to Method Man to take back to America with him.
As a direct result of Method's subsequent name dropping, their album "The Cult
of Ant and Dec" was produced
by Timbaland, and released on Death Row records in America.

Their music is still quite popular in Sweden, where they have to go
and do a months tour each year.

Jenifer Lopez wouldn't appear on CDUK until Dec was painted black.

Ant's worst job ever was when, age 5, he was sent to work round the back of
Argos. "It's not a warehouse, as you might expect, but rather a
random pile of boxes with all the goods thrown in a heap.
Kids have to scramble around to find the customer's order within 5 minutes
or miss out on lunch. Once the goods lorry came and one kid din't get
out of the way in time and was crushed by a poncey home rowing machine in a box...erm.. like, mon.", he lied.

Dec always keeps his house quite cold as he believes having loose
hanging balls is something only the lower classes should do.
|
|
In order to get in shape, Ant drank nothing but locosade for two whole
months.
Also on the health note, he once believed that he had a magic t-shirt that made him run fast,
but then realised that he wasn't going any faster, it was just that
the picture on it was blurred.

Jonathan King actually applied to make a comeback on Ant and Dec's Pop
Idol show. However, his application was denied when he was
discovered to be too old to go on. When quizzed
about this, it turned out that he actually believed that he was only 17,
as his parents had convinced him that you only have one birthday every
three years. This explained
many things, including
why noone saw him as the new Mozart when he wrote 'Johnny Reggae' at the
age of 9. He suddenly felt very old.
