As a symbol of his strength, Russell Crowe used to walk around below an air field carrying a giant magnet above his head. As a plane flew over, the magnetic pull would lift him into the air - reaching a peak as it was directly above, and then lowering him as it passed.

Eventually, the thrill for excitement got too much for Russell, as he began to use bigger and bigger magnets, in order to lift him higher and higher into the air.

This game came to an unexpected climax, when the 27 second concord flight from Gatwick to the Isle of Wight was pulled out of the sky by the sheer force of his magnet and landed on his head, reducing his height by 2 foot.

Whenever Russell cries, he wraps himself in a towel upon which he has stuck lots of cotton wool buds. This is so that if anyone catches him crying, he can claim that he is just doing an impression of a cloud.
Despite being viewed as something of a sex symbol, many ladies are put off by the fact that up close, Russell smells of sheep dip.
He claims not to sweat the stuff, despite the fact that he hasn't dipped a sheep for 2 years.
As a youth, Russell appeared on the Australian equivalent of game show 'You Bet!'.
His challenge was to taste various cups of tears and tell under which circumstance they were cried - whether they be tears of joy, tears of sadness etc.
He managed to get 9/10 but pretended not to know what tears of pain taste like, even though he fully well knew that they are sour and happy ones sweet.
Russell always shaves last thing at night so that come morning he will have a full set of stubble to get him through the day.
